When I turned the brights off, the airbag light stayed lit, then the stability assist light lit back up. I flipped the brights on again, with the same result as the first time. I have since been made aware that the tipm is faulty. I had a problem with the airbag light at mile 172 when I first bought the vehicle new. At that time, I was told that the original tipm was faulty and it was replaced. 55000 miles on the vehicle, and we are working on tipm number three. Both of our tipm issues have involved airbag function, which makes this a dangerous problem.

On Tuesday 10/18/2016, I was backing the van out of the garage and stopped to adjust the tilt when the airbag light suddenly came on. Took it to the dealer (10/20/2016) and was told they wanted $115 to run the diagnostic. All safety related issues with any vehicle should be warrantied for the life of the car.
