The rear hatch won't close unless a window or door is open. I went to the dealer for an "adjustment" and was informed that the latch mechanism needed to be replaced; however, there are none in the system (large clue here) and the item is on backorder. The latch finalY failed completely while my wife was shopping in a bad rainstorm. I was impossible to close the rear hatch electrically or manually. I drove the car to dealer on a Saturday morning, and they graciously removed a latch mechanism form a new stock C Max to get me on the road again. Kudos to Mac Haik Ford in Georgetown. Regrettably the latch mechanism from the brand new C Max was also broken (design/engineering flaw?) Two latching mechanism are now on back order and my new car has a rear door that cannot be used.
I love the way the car drives and how quiet it is and very peppy.
Ford needS to "get their thumb out" and put some reliable PARTS ON THE SELF TO SUPPORT THE DEALERS.
