Escort LX 3.2L
This car has been babied, oil changed every 3 months, every single scheduled service including transmission service at approximately 29,500 miles (at Klaben Ford, Kent, OH). Car is in pristine condition. It is beyond comprehension that it has suffered a transmission failure at 56,000 miles. And I've been told by the repair shop that Ford has had several similar failures with the same part in the transmission (Mazda tranny). Ford claims they haven't had any problems and won't take any responsibility so I'm basically screwed.
