Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac premature front brake pad wear, particularly the front inside pad wore down to rotor. Had 30,000 Ford inspection and was only 50% worn on front, at 34,000 miles the pads was worn out and the local dealer "bill alexander Ford" said that's nominal.

All four tires were slightly cupping, and the brakes made a thumping noise when they were depressed. Dealership replaced the pads, lubed the front caliper slide pin, and replaced rotors. Vehicle experiencing problems with tires cupping. The following repairs were performed on the vehicle: Engine replaced, brakes, replaced, alignment, battery wiring assembly repaired, dpfe sensor replaced. Consumer asked dealer for a full refund on vehicle.
