Explorer Sport Trac LX V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,200 miles

Vehicle only 2 years old & already had fuel pump replaced; now the dealership says 3 of the 8 coil packs went out frying the main computer & they can't get the computer until 1/9/09 leaving an old recent widow who lives 8 miles from anywhere without a vehicle. They said I could continue to drive it; but, the engine shakes so badly it fells like it's going to fly out & won't idle without dying unless you put it in neutral & rev it....and said they didn't have a loaner available. Of course the bumper to bumper warranty expired at 36,000 miles; but, it's only 2 years old?? When will the other 5 coil packs expire & fry another main computer stranding me on a country road in bad weather?? I feel I've been sold a lemon & will definitely when financially able buy another brand of vehicle!
