Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Mustang. While accelerating, the vehicle was at full throttle even when the accelerator pedal was not depressed. The contact stated that the throttle was stuck at full throttle and would eventually decrease after a few seconds. The contact mentioned that the failure occurred three times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000. The VIN was not available.

Vehicle lost power while driving, engine wrench light came on, made rattling noise but still idling. After full shutdown and restart, engine appeared to work fine. Dealer determined throttle body defective, similar to other Ford vehicle throttle body issues which had recent recalls and warranty extensions, however this particular model and year is not covered. $1250 repair bill.

Incident: While waiting in the left turn lane for the left turn light to turn green I had my foot on the brake. I was behind another left turning vehicle. When the light changed I took my foot off the brake so to apply pressure on the accelerator. However, before I put my foot on the accelerator the vehicle lunged forward. Fortunately, I was able to reapply brake and the car stopped. This took place on level ground on South bound highway 19 at henry St. In kona.
