2014 V6 Mustang. My radio stopped working. The display only shows the temperature outside the car and the time of day flashes. It started slowly, popping noise and radio would go out. Then, come back on for a few days. Then a week ago, the radio was working great, then another loud Pop noise and the radio was gone, forever. What I have learned from Mustang Forum, this is happening to thousands of Mustangs, V6 and GT's. I have replaced 2 fuses so far, this didn't work. I am considering disconnecting the battery, but have read by other owners, this only works for a short time.
Other owners of the Mustang have replaced the entire unit at between 500-700.00. I have read that this is a Circuit board issue, where Ford did not solder the connections correctly. It's sad that Ford will not issue a "recall" on this radio issue. However, I will be in contact with Ford as everyone with the radio should also contact Ford. www.Ford.com, and select “Contact Ford†at the bottom of the homepage. Submit your concern using their contact form and wait for an email response.
