Ranger Edge 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,000 miles

The engine pings at approx. 2500 rpms under load with any grade of gasoline. I'm growing tired of the noise and will take it in to see if I can get it repaired but have my doubts. It sounds like it might be an e-prom issue, not mechanical.
