Just read a similar complaint on this site... Started out that radio would cut out and stop working briefly when car was in drive or reverse but would work OK in neutral (and possibly park... don't remember for sure.) It has gotten progressively worse and now does it all the time I am in gear except in neutral. I put in a cassette tape and same thing happened to tape as radio.. it would quit just like radio quit. Starting today the steering is very hard most of the time that the radio cuts out. In addition today, now when the radio is out the windows will not roll up or down... but if I put the car in neutral they will work fine. Car is a 97 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine automatic transmission.

The radio only works in park or neutral, the power steering gets real hard to turn the wheel, the seatbelt light comes on and the key gets hot in the ignition switch.

This is a really big pain in the ass problem, this is my only transportation. The power steering gets ruff, the radio goes out only works on "park", the console lights turn off and on. THE REALLY FRUSTRATING PART IS FORD IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WON'T EVEN TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, IN ORDER FOR ME TO TELL A MECHANIC.
