Here is the latest problem to add to my long list of problems with this car. I have gone from dashboard lights that come on and off at will to dome lights that won't turn off and run down the battery. Now, when it feels like it, my car won't move forward when I put it in gear. It can be running just fine and I will pull up to a stop sign and when I give it gas it creeps into the intersection at about one mile an hour, very slowly gains speed until it is driving the speed limit and then takes right off at the next stop! My mechanic dropped the transmission fluid pan expecting to find metal shavings and instead found only good transmission fluid filled to the proper level - no shavings. He really has no idea what is wrong with my car - this time. Since it has fixed itself several times over the past few years I am not sure what to do! Last year my speedometer quit working for about two weeks and miraculously started working again and has worked ever since. I managed to go about 7 months without the dome light refusing to go off but it just happen again a few days ago. Last year I had the transmission serviced because it wouldn't shift into second without trying to put me in the backseat but it has run fine since then. I hesitate to put a bunch of money into a new transmission when who knows if it is even the real problem? I think I have a Taurus Gremlin!

Speedometer will not work when cold and the transmission revs and jumps in and out of gear. After it warms up, the speedometer starts working and trans is ok. I just spent $80.00 to have a speed sensor installed....but still having the same problem. Can anyone please advise.
