I have a 2002 Taurus i have spent so much money in this car trying to get some heat and still have no heat. I have replace the heater core, water pump and thermostat and still no heat. I have taken it to the ford dealer they still can't tell me what is wrong with the car. I fell that it is bad when a car company can't tell you what is wrong with a car that the sell.

About 2 summers ago the air conditioner would work intermittently. It would work fine and then not a work for a few days and then start back working again. In the summer of 2006 I took it to Pep Boys to have them check the air conditioning system. They said that they system checked out fine (it was charged) but that the cold air was not getting through and that they would need to take the dash down to find the problem. At that point I decided to take it to the dealer. I took it to the dealer. They said the same thing--that they needed to take the dash down to find the problem and that I need to bring it back. Of course within the next 2 days it started working again and I didn't take it back. Then it stopped working and it was already fall so I figured I did not want to spend the money to get this done and then not be able to use it until next summer. If I would have problems again, I'm sure the warranty for the repair would not last that long. Then last summer it was working more on than off. Now it's not working and I took it to a repair place who said the same thing Pep Boys said. Now I am trying to find a day when I can take it in. They need to remove the dash and find the problem and it could take from 1-2 days and $600 just to take the dash down!
