They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owned a 2009 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that the vehicle surged and unintentionally accelerated when the passenger side tire struck a sidewalk. The contact depressed the brake pedal; however, the vehicle proceeded to crash into a wall. The front driver side air bag failed to deploy. The contact suffered spinal cord injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was destroyed.
