well back to the 2010 taurus when i bought it had 9000 miles on the trunk there was a spot that looked like they painted over a piece of dirt so i didnt think much of it the car has 53000 miles and that spot is rust under the paint. i have a 5 year unlimited rust and corrosion plan from ford so took pictures sent the claim in and ford denied the claim they said it has to rust clear through before they will do any thing. its not like im asking them to paint the whole car or trunk they just need to paint the trunk lid below the chrome strip. because the way they handled this claim i will not buy my new truck from ford and i work for ford next truck or car will be gm product so FORD MOTOR CO. AND WARRANTIES SUCKS....

I purchased a 2010 ford taurus that had 10,000 miles. love the looks and drive. had it for a few months, i noticed on the trunk lid below the chrome strip a bump under the paint. I didnt think much more of it until the paint showed sign of discoloring. by this time car has 52-53,000 miles took it back to the dealer. they took pictures of the rust on the trunk sent them to FORD. they rejected the claim. i have 5year unlimited rust and corrosion warranty. what they told me was it has to rust clear thru the freaking trunk before the 5 years are up but in the mean time i got a sharp looking car except that sh*tty rusted trunk lid. im not asking FORD to paint the whole trunk lid just the lower section below the chrome. thanks FORD for making another unhappy customer p.s. looking to buy a new pick-up and its not a FORD
