We bought this Taurus used with 60,000 miles on it. Since then, we have replaced the tires nearly three times. At this point we are just saying screw it, because no one seems to have a solution. I also have a 2008 Ford Focus that had alignment issues (burned through the first set of tires in 15,000 miles), I changed out the sway bar links to a beefier, Moog linkage, that is grease-able. Clunking and steering issues disappeared. I am going to try this with the Taurus and hope that it will magically fix the clunking and alignment.
I'm not a professional in auto repair, but I have taken shop classes and know a thing or two. I am open to suggestions.
