The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the engine overheated and the vehicle stalled. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the coolant reservoir level was low. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the water pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle overheated, lost motive power and stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The driver coasted to the side of the road, inspected the vehicle, and became aware of coolant leaking underneath the vehicle. The driver was able to add coolant to the reservoir, restarted the vehicle, and drove to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the water pump and timing chain had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for assistance. The dealer diagnosed that the water pump and timing chain needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 163,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that coolant was leaking from the water pump. The contact was informed that the water pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case number was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that she and her husband noticed that the coolant in the radiator was low. The contact added coolant to the reservoir and noticed two days later that the coolant level was low again. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they diagnosed the vehicle and stated that the water pump was failing and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.
