Taurus SHO 305

While driving on I-95 S at 70 mph steering warning light flashed, traction control light flashed on. Steering wheel begin to twitch. Steering became extremely hard to turn. Had to pull off the highway. Turn engine off, check under the hood. No reservoir show. Restarted vehicle, no lights, seem to be ok now. Check Google, vehicle has electric rack & pinion. Will schedule appointment at Ford dealership as soon as possible. This is a very danger problem. This is a common problem with the Taurus. Ford did a recall for the early model. But will not do a recall for all the Ford, Lincoln with this electric rack & pinion on them.

Taurus LX 3.5L V6

I was driving on the freeway in fast lane at 65 mph when my power assist went out on me causing me to move into the next two lanes to my right before I could regain control of my vehicle .The steering was very hard to turn, it's like driving you grandparents car from the 50's and 60's with no power steering.
