SO MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY ACADIA WASN'T SHIFTING CORRECTLY. I CALLED DEALERSHIP THEY SAID CHECK THE FLUID. I DID AND IT WAS LOW. I HAD THE SYSTEM FLUSHED AND SEEMS TO BE WORKING OK AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF.

NOW AS I START DRIVING THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS COMING ON AND STAYING ON. THE CAR SEEMS TO BE DRIVING FINE. AFTER THE CARS BEEN SHUT OFF FOR A LITTLE BIT THE LIGHT GOES OFF, UNTIL I START DRIVING FOR A BIT THEN COMES BACK ON. CAN

SOMEONE HELP ME. I'M A SINGLE PARENT RAISING TWO KIDS ON MY OWN AND DON'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY TO SPEND ON REPAIRS.

So, my car was starting to have transmission slipping issues. I took it to the GMC dealership and they said there was a wiring issue...they SAID it was definitely NOT related to the switch plate and told me I WOULD NOT need a new transmission. Sadly that was not the case. I was charged $4000 for a transmission repair 4 months later.

The repair was over $2000 and the service person tried to overcharge me from what he originally said. When I had another issue, I learned he did not work there anymore. I did make a complaint about it since he was getting plenty of my money already.

The shifting issue was better but never really resolved itself.

transmission lags when shifting into drive

Yet another failure in the long list of failures with this vehicle. This is the second transmission issue I've had with this car. First failure was at 88,000 mi when the wave plates were replaced. Now 70,000 miles later I have another transmission problem.
