Bought this car brand new off the showroom floor. It was my first brand new car. Now slightly less than 6 years after I bought it, the paint is blistered and sunburnt on the spoiler (which was factory installed) and that now has mysteriously spread to multiple places on the hood. I am still paying this car off and now it looks like it's been kept in the desert. I live in an area that does not cause this damage to paint very often, let alone only after 5-6 years. I own 4 other cars and none of them have this problem. I am so annoyed I don't even look at the car when I'm close to it because it's so irritating to see. Trying to decide if it's worth it to fight with Honda or just let it go and trade it in when I pay it off.

Bought the car BRAND NEW, while detailing it I noticed that in the wheel wells where the fenders or quarter panels meet the end of the plastic bumpers there is a tight fit. Also from the METAL fenders where they meet there are paint globs or goobers where paints ran down and dried. It is then chipped off to bare metal when the bumper is installed and meets this area which will promote rust to build up and start in these locations if not corrected.

Looked at EVERY new 2014 Honda Civic lx Alabaster Silver cars on two dealers lots and ALL these cares have the same issues, some worse then others.

Unfortunately we have been without the car as the dealer sent it to the body shop to be repaired under the Factory Warranty, however after 1st attempt it was not corrected and now the bumpers are painted the wrong color :( So after spending thousands on a BRAND NEW CAR we have been without the car and at some point will now have paid for a new car that is a used car with body work.
