Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

2007 Honda Element Owner Comments

problem #3

Feb 202007

Element 4WD 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,100 miles

Spontaneous windshield crack on 2007 Honda Element. Lower passenger side crack occurred while I was sitting in car; no impact event, only defroster in cold weather. Dealer examined and claims 'stone pit' and refused to cover on warranty, but there is no visible pit nor anything that can be felt with finger. 19,100K miles. Classic crack story typical of many other Honda Elements, and classic 'stonewall treatment' by Honda dealer as reported by other Honda Element owners.

Honda Element purchased 4/16/07: A chip a week on windshield! today is 4/28/07. Internet search shows history with Element windshields. Called salesman, "its our dept." Just want to get a complaint on record since there is a class action lawsuit for other recent years.
