Vehicle purchased new in April of 2008, in Oct noticed a spot on the hood that was obviously not a rock chip, then noticed more and more all over vehicle. Hood, roof, right front QP, rear gate. Took it to dealer and was asked to leave so a 'regional rep' could look at it. Rep stated it was 'environmental' in origin and not a factory defect. I was upset and took it to 5 local paint/body shops ALL of whom stated it was a primer issue and was DEF a factory issue. I faxed estimates and the svc mgr stated the regional rep again said no. I contacted Honda America and went thru the hoops only to have the phone rep parrot back the regional reps statement...absolutely no resolution.

I took it back out the the svc director and he asked me to take it around the way to the shop they use for paint...HAHAHAH.. the paint guy only took 3 seconds to tell me it looked like a Honda issue and there was no environment anything ( although both bird poop and tree sap had been mentioned ) that would eat thru the clear coat, paint and to the bare metal on a brand new care in under 6 months.

I realize it is not my dealers direct issue..but I am very close to trading the vehicle on ANYTHING else and to never buy a Honda again.
