Okay so this car has been pissing me off. I understand the mileage is high, but the engine itself runs butter smooth still. The transmission though has always gave me weird issues but I've never had a single check engine code to correlate. beyond the 40mph mini stall, sometimes when I'm accelerating, especially on a hill, the car will downshift into third, activate dohc, and then bog out near the red line after finally shifting into fourth. I either put the car in third till I'm out of the area it happens, or try to feather my foot and coax the car into shifting, I've actually gotten pretty good at it.
