From a stop the 2014 Jeep Cherokee 3.2vvt V6 4X4 often creates a wobble feel while shifting through lower gears. The Jeep's wobble isn't felt through the steering wheel but the passengers can feel the wobble and also the driver can feel in in the gas pedal upon acceleration. Upon deceleration the transmission makes a hard clunk feel when nearing a complete stop. The vehicle does not feel safe to drive as it feel the vehicle will leave you stranded. *latest updates were applied by the Dodge dealer with no change in drive ability.

We took delivery of our 2014 Jeep Cherokee limited on March 14,2014. After driving it for approx 1 month we noticed a very prominent wobble/shimmy in the front end on acceleration, this stops after it shifts into 3rd gear. We took it back to the dealer with this issue, they agreed there was a problem. First the dealership replaced the rear shaft and it got worse, next they replaced the cv shafts and isolator bushing. These repairs did not fix the problem. Then we were told to drive the vehicle and it would get better. We now have 6000 miles on it and it has only gotten worse. We are now told that vehicle operates as designed"? who designs a vehicle to wobble/shimmy on acceleration" this is unacceptable and we will never buy another Jeep. We have owned 4 Jeep in the past.

While attempting to back my 2014 Jeep Cherokee 4X2 into a parking space between 2 parked cars on the left side of a one way street, the car slid to the left slamming the left rear quarter of my car into the right front of the parked car causing damage to both cars. I was attempting to back up into a space on a slightly inclined street. I had to apply some extra power to my Jeep. However it went sideways instead of straight back into the parking spot. I thought I did not plan the maneuver correctly but what happened is that my rear left tire lost traction to the road which made the car travel sideways instead of straight. I had reported some rubbing noise coming from the tires earlier in the week and some minor ply in the steering wheel to the dealer. They could not duplicate the rubbing noise and reported fixing the steering wheel. I picked up the car only to find out that problems were still the same. I am guessing that there is a major flaw in the ESC that made the car perform in that flawed manner. The ESC light came on after that hit and would not go off. The steering wheel now more crocked. And the rear left wheel looks like bent. I had the car towed to the dealer on Monday but they would not consider looking at it until the accident is fixed. So now it is in the shop.

When in first gear and proceeding into second gear the front of the vehicle wobbles back and forth with a jerky start. Per the dealership and manufacturer they have been working on this issue for 12 months now and still do not have a fix for this issue.

Vehicle wobbles/shakes/vibrates upon acceleration from a stop - now is doing it intermittently at other speeds - first repair on 7/22/14 "install sop front axle assemblies & drive 300 miles to completely break in a half shaft" - after the 300 miles and no change to the problem - second repair 8/18/14 "install sop rear motor mount, align engine with 2 other side mounts - driving it off the lot after this repair did not fix the problem - at this time Chrysler has no fix for the problem - I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle and have received no substantive information that it is safe to drive - as a matter of fact I'm having trouble getting an update from Chrysler other than they no there is a problem and they are working on it.

This Jeep still intermittently experiences the sensation of wheel wobble when shifting between 1st & 2nd gear. The dealer is saying vehicle performs as intended. ?? I experience this periodically while driving but not every time. This is troublesome & worries me every day while driving this vehicle.

Front end axle boot leak and subsequent shake/vibration in front end on acceleration and right turns mostly. Went into "limp mode" upon driving during low speeds on more than one occasion with check engine and service transmission lights coming on. No good computer history stored in engine computer to determine problem even happened. Shake has continued even with replacement of both front axles. Limp mode and warning lights haven't happened since transmission wiring harness and transmission computer were replaced. Has been serviced by two local dealerships for over a month and have had customer service contact with Chrysler/Jeep customer service about issues since transmission problems. Engaged in lemon law action because purchase dealer has stated on more than one occasion that the shake is a characteristic of the 2014 model of Jeep Cherokee, "all of them have it on their lot" so there is nothing to fix. I just don't want this to be a larger issue with more vehicles involved so I am reporting my problems.

2014 Jeep Cherokee limited, 6 cylinder, purchased on April 21, 2014 with 321 miles on it. There was a slight shimmy in the front end that they told us was a flat spot in the tire that would work itself out and the transmission would have to "learn" my way of driving. On May 30, tt 2217 miles I brought the vehicle back tot he dealer for hesitation in the transmission and shuttering and grinding in the front end. The Jeep has been back to the dealer 6 times for shuttering and grinding in the front end when proceeding from stop or low speed after being on the highway at a constant speed for several miles. Shuttering can happen when turning or going straight. I have also reported several transmission issues to them with the cars inability to downshift going up a hill and or to up shift when coasting down hills. At one time as I was entering the highway, I tried to accelerate to 55 and the car would not go over 30 mph. I'm glad there were two lanes or I would have been rear ended. Car was very jerky when proceeding from a stop and would often suddenly jerk forward after a hesitation to even move. Car has been reprogrammed 3 times, had a new valve body installed, a new transmission installed and two new axles installed two days after the axles were installed the shuttering and hesitation in transmission started again. Dealer has failed to get back to me.

At low speed turns, left and right, ie in a parking lot or turning at an intersection, popping and groaning from front suspension/steering assembly. Very audible and ratcheting feel can be felt in the frame and steering wheel. Not an issue when driving straight or at speed. First trip to dealer...could not duplicate. Next day, after contacting Jeep consumer service, the Jeep was taken back to the dealer and I test drove the vehicle in the parking lot for the service consultant. The popping/groaning noise was evident in every turn and the car was taken into the service area for suspected "suspension" problem. Next day contact with dealer...they think it is either the axles or transmission. Called Jeep and they called dealership. I was then told by Jeep they were replacing the axles. Subsequent msg from service department confirmed they were changing the right front axle but it was back ordered. Now two days...no Jeep, no transportation, no loaner. At 1300 miles, our brand new Jeep Cherokee began to wobble between 15-20 mph while on a trip. We stopped at the closest Jeep dealer, who knew right away what the problem was- warped axles from the factory. We were told it was safe, and returned home. Our dealer replaced the axles. No fix. The wobbling began to get worse. Took to dealer. Rear engine mount replaced (torque strut). No fix. Returned to dealer. Dealer had no clue. The regional Chrysler rep drove it, who subsequently hung up the phone on me after telling me that I needed to change how I drive, and this is normal for this vehicle. I assure you- this is not normal! now we are stuck. Dealer won't fix, or replace. Star case is all but closed on us. I am afraid to operate this vehicle. An "unknown" wobble is a serious safety risk to myself, my family, and other drivers. After scouring the internet, and seeing this is a huge problem, I believe these vehicles need to be taken off the road until the "unknown" wobble problem is corrected.

Four wheel drive selection system was totally inoperative. Nine speed automatic transmission does not shift into 9th gear automatically. In manual shift mode 9th gear is selected and tach does not drop to indicate higher gear ratio. Software was updated but still same problem - #rrt14-040 - was flashed twice but no difference. Code reader shows same problem even when update was completed.

Very noticeable wobble in the front (possibly the right side) of the Jeep when starting from a dead stop and/or turning right from a dead stop. Had front axles replaced (on less than 2000 miles on a $33,000 vehicle!!) at dealership and on the drive home from picking up the vehicle, the wobble happened when I left a gas station - from a dead stop and turning right. This seems to happen after I've driven it for awhile and the vehicle is warmed up. I'm nervous this will become a safety issue and I've seen many other posts from people having this same issue. I am not happy about a wobble in a brand new vehicle and won't just "deal with it." I am concerned that this is a deeper issue than the axles and I will be left stranded on the highway someday.
