The air bag light remains on and the chime constantly sounds when turning the steering wheel. I've had this issue for quite some time now (since 2012). I've taken my Jeep to a number of Chrysler dealers and other certified mechanics and they have all told me that the issue is a faulty clock-spring. This matter is obviously a serious safety issue and it needs to be fixed by Chrysler/Jeep at no cost to the owner of the vehicle.

Need to have emission done and cannot get done with any type of errors. no check engine lights can be on and definitely not the air bag light. I know The air bags go off by a small charge and make it inflate. BUT, what makes them fill up and pressurize during normal operation? Is this done via the vacuum system?
