The gauges in the jeep only work when they want to, if it is cold or raining they don't work at all. Most of the light stay on and you gas gauge does not register, another issue I have researched and found an issue with. But when I called Jeep they did not care.

HAVE PUT IN THREE COMPLAINTS GAUGES STOP WORKING ALONG WITH REAR LIGHTS. SEE REAR LIGHT COMPLAINTS.IDIOT GAUGES STOPPED EVERY TIME REAR SIGNAL,BRAKE LIGHTS DID. I AM NOT PUTTING IN THREE SEPARATE REPORTS ON THIS. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND REOCCURRING PROBLEM. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND RECALLED. NOT HAVING IDIOT LIGHTS WORKING IS DISTRACTING WHEN DRIVING.

I was going down the Interstate when I heard a chime and then my gauges stopped working. I was on a trip so I went to the nearest AutoZone part store to have them put it on their computer so see what the problem was, They weren't sure so the Jeep still ran good I just had no gauges at all, so when I got back home, all of a sudden my gauges worked again I said HUH must have been a fluke. Well about 4 months later I went to work and went out to start my car and the car would start but shut right off. well I had my mechanic come and get it, but He told me to take it to a Jeep Dealership because Chrysler does not release their codes, so he could not be sure what the problem was. The jeep dealership said it was the bus module, this would cost me about $300. So when my mechanic picked it up from the dealer the jeep would run but my instrument cluster, along with other electrical parts would not work. So took it back to the dealership they had it about a week and they told me that it needed a new instrument cluster about another $300 so put that in and I guess (not sure) when they put in the instrument cluster they fried the bus module so I had to pay for that again, Along with all this they said there were some fried wiring so they had to replace a wiring harness, after all said and done about 4 weeks later and about $3000.00 dollars this includes labor I got my jeep back, Good right? WRONG in one week My transmission failed, I asked if it could be related to the electrical problem of course they said no but it seems awful funny to me. So I had my mechanic replace the transmission with a used transmission with a 1 year warranty good thing, Because it took them 3 transmissions to get a good one this cost me about $1800.00.

I was driving my jeep when suddenly i heard a chime so I looked at my gauges and they were all not working. Just as if the car was shut off. Jeep was still running perfect though so I drove it home and then shut it off. Started right up again but still no gages, tried this 3or 4 times. Checked all fuses and they were all good. Took the jeep to a local garage they re-checked fuses. Then hooked it to a computer. Computer was not showing any problems. He then reset the computer and jeep quit running. It would start and then shut right off. Called a Chrysler Dealer they said it was the ignition switch, that it needed a new skim. Put that in the next day still won't run.Towed it to the Chrysler dealer they checked it out and said it needed a cluster. Ordered one it took 4 days to get there, they put it in and still won't run. They are now saying it needs a computer. It is going to take another week to get that here. So far I've got around a $1000. tied up in a vehicle that worked fine except I couldn't tell how fast I was going or how much gas I had. Still no answers and still putting parts on. It will be over 4 weeks by the time the part arrives that the Chrysler dealer has had this vehicle. Gee i thought you could build one in less time than that.
