Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Purchased a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited from carmax on Sept 30th 2002. Immediately after purchasing the vehicle, a high pitch sound started to be heard while the car is idling. I've taken the car to two different dealers approximately a total of five times or more and no one at the dealership was able to pin point the problem. Initially, the dealer thought the noise might be related to the belt, but once the belt was changed the noise persisted. The engine was also checked and unfortunately the noise is still being heard and it is more pronounced. Then on top of everything else, the heating vent on the passenger side has malfunctioned conviently after the warranty just recently expired. In addition on March 12th 2004, upon bringing my truck into the dealership for servicing, the machanic scraps the side of the truck removing the paint off of the rear passenger door and antwerpen Jeep doesn't want to compensate me. Please advise. Any info that you would be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. This has not been a good experience for me. I purchased a new Ford mustang in 1997 and was completely satisfied, had no problems with the car and the service was exceptional.
