My driver's-side headrest/"airbag" deployed without a collision. I was wiping down my seat after I got it dirty and when I wiped over the headrest it "popped" against my hand. I heard a tinkling noise of something bouncing around inside my vehicle. After further inspection there were plastic clips that hold the headrest together and the plastic clips broke, causing the spring-loaded headrest to deploy. I was incredibly lucky that this happened while I was parked in my driveway because I did some research and other people have had this happen and have had it happen while they were driving! There is not currently a recall on the headrests so there is no guarantee that this won't happen again if i spend the $600+ to get a new headrest installed.
