The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at approximately 80 MPH, the rear passenger-€™s side tire detached from the vehicle. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to cruise to the side of the road. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that due to corrosion, the brake assembly and the drive axle housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 134,505.
