My 2016 Grand Cherokee stalled while I stopped at an intersection on 8 August. This happened about 9 months ago also. It told me to put it in Drive - it was already there. I put it in Park, shut it down completely and restarted it. The dealership told me it was probably because of low oil. After reading the same issue with so many people, I called the dealership back and told them there's a serious safety issue with the 2016s. He wound up telling me that my Jeep had a software update on 11 August and that might fix the problem. That tells me they probably know it's a software issue. We'll see. Still reporting it to the sites other people on here have posted.
