Consider that this vehicle cost more on purchase than two of my previous homes and, as my 5th Jeep, it was my dream car. I planned to keep it for 10 years and faithfully had it maintained at the dealership where I purchased it. I also purchased a very expensive warranty.

Along came 2021 - 2022 and of course with the mileage on the vehicle the warranty was no longer valid. In the past year I have had the check engine light come on 4 times, have had countless repairs made, too many to mention, and the most recent was a requirement that the transmission had to be completely replaced at a cost of $5800. Tell me is 131,000 miles in a car that has been very well taken care of - and 6 years old - really in need of a new transmission and such costly repairs?

I no longer trust this vehicle and wonder - do I attempt to live with it another 4 years or trade now?
