The swing gate fails to open, the window will pop up but the gate will not release at all. The swing gate only allows for a keyless entry. Would this fall under recall no.D09? I have read that many other Jeep Liberty owners online experiencing the same issue, when I tried to researching for a fix. Periodically prior to this gate would pop up on dash display.there is concern that motor controlling this may malfunction and come open on it's own.

I received a recall notice N46/NHTSA 13V-252 well over 1 year ago for the possible fuel leak in a rear end crash for my 2004 Jeep Liberty. I have been in contact several times with the dealer to address the recall. Every time I am told they do not have the parts. I stopped by one day and asked and was told I could be put on a waiting list but didn't have time to look up my VIN number on my phone. I called the next day and asked to be put on the waiting list and was told there is no waiting list. On my last contact with the dealer I was told they do not have the parts, do not know when the parts will be in, and do not have any kind of time frame for the parts to be in from the factory. I would like to see a remedy for this recall sometime in the very near future.

It has been many months since I received a recall which was supposed to be remedied by installing a hitch. (gas tank is at risk of rupture) my dealer [xxx] in summit, NJ claims that Chrysler has not sent the part. I have inquired several times and I get the same story. I realize it is an old car however I am getting the impression that the longer Chrysler keeps stalling making repairs the less of these cars there will be to repair! since this is so dangerous I think they ought to be encouraged more strongly to do the right thing.
