Anybody else have this issue? I was driving my car about 8000 miles per year and less than 2 years after I bought the car I tried to start it and...nothing. I raised the hood and noticed that the battery terminals and wires to the battery were almost completely eaten away. Talked to the dealer and they said that the car needs to be driven more to prevent gases from accumulating around the positive terminal. The first instance was covered under warranty but follow up work was of course just past the 3 year warranty that I purchased. I finally took matters in my own hands and snipped off the terminal cover from the positive terminal - now it seems to be running ok. But it's pretty annoying that you can't even trust Jeep to get a battery right - it was only purest luck that the breakdowns occurred near home and not 400 miles away.
