CarComplaints.com Notes: Kia really changed the design of the Sorento in the 2011 model year. Instead of a truck-like body-on-frame more capable of offroad adventures, the newest Sorento is a unibody construction and is much more crossover than sport utility. The changes brought a whole slew of problems, including a frustrating problem where the door that won’t open. Is it too late to go back?

Shortly after purchasing my Kia both key fobs and the outside push door lock will not work about 50% of the time. I cannot lock/unlock except by pushing the lock button inside the vehicle or opening with the key. I have keyless start. I have taken it to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem at that time. They basically said, sorry, we don't know what the problem is. The batteries in both fobs do not seem to be the problem. Dealing with this insane issue until someone figures this out. Seriously considering selling my Kia back due to this issue and another with the suspension.
