high oil consumption high oil consumption

I bought this car New on 2/24/2021. Had my 1st oil service on 11/22 had around 2000 Miles on it at that time, I don't drive much lol. No Warning light at that time. 5/17/2023 while driving, my Warning lights came on for Low Oil Pressure as with the Warning Msg on my Phone from my Mazda app saying to put oil in due to Low Oil Pressure. I instantly called Mazda but was just after 5pm and the Svc Dep. was closed.

I really like my car but am Puzzled when I read about the Problems I have Read online about this Motor/Turbo issue of Low Oil. After finding out about the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin for oil Consumption on the 2021 2.5 Turbos. Why Did Mazda not Contact me about this? Now I am a Little worried about the Reliability of this car. Finding out about the Valve Stem Seal Issue on this 2021 year Turbos. The Service person told me on 5/18/22 when I took my car in at 7:15 am the next morning that the Turbos use oil and it's ok and that I should have my Oil Changed and checked every 1,700 miles, REALLY! I checked and found NO RECALL Notice about this issue that Mazda Obviously Knows about. I have Notified Mazda today and hope to speak with someone other than a Chat Bot. I should NOT be having these issues on a New Vehicle with less than 5000 miles. I hope they (Mazda) Steps up and takes care of this issue. Thanks for the Rant!! Jeff

Update from May 22, 2023 I spoke with the Dealership today and there is a Procedure you have to go through in order to get this problem fixed. You have to go down to the Dealership and Notify them of the Oil Consumption issue. They have to do an Oil Svc on the Vehicle. You then have to come back in 1,200 miles or if the Low Oil Pressure alert returns, Whichever comes first. At that point they Check the oil level and if it shows that indeed your car is Using oil then they will Repair the Valve Sem Seal in the Turbo. They will NOT CONTACT YOU about this, You must start this Process yourself. Hope this helps You Guy's... Jeff
