We don't have a lot of complaints on file for the Mazda B2300 (although feel free to add yours here) -- it's either not very popular ... or it's very, very good.
The 2006 Mazda B2300 has the most complaints, & the most-reported problem is also with the 2006 B2300 for engine failure / loss of timing.

Mazda has a TSB indicating a problem with the 2.3 engine "losing time". The problem is that the crankshaft timing gear is not located on the crankshaft with any sort of keyway (like most every other engine in the world). heater blows cold when vehicle slows down -- 2001 B2300:
