Silver lining is that my water pump did not fail in such a way that it destroyed the engine as that seems to be the more common way it fails. But the $3,500 price tag to get the water pump replaced because it is located inside the engine is way more money than people have to just be throwing around.

I could cus and raise hell but it isn't going to fix the problem. The catastrophic water pump failure ruined the engine in a good vehicle that's only 5 years old and just hit 91,000 miles. I thought that Mazda took pride in the work and craftsmanship in there vehicle's. To not sell you a lemon Ford POS engine in a good vehicle. I will never buy another one. I'm disabled and had the opportunity to buy it out right with only 12,000 miles on it and figured the way I take care of vehicles that I would get probably around 300,000 miles like my Very Good Acura car has on it.

Being Disabled and having twins that are 17 and driving and a daughter that will be driving in a few more years. Doesn't leave a lot of money for nice things and it was a nice vehicle until the water pump failure and engine loss. Is going to cost me anywhere from $1,500.00 to $10,000 to fix the vehicle or try to get something out of it on a trade in. From what I've read that one person was offered $2,000 on a trade in for a vehicle that should be worth 15 to 20 thousand dollars.

So Mazda is selling expensive vehicles and saying they are safe and reliable HHHMMM safe maybe but reliable Hell NO 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Mazda should have to PAY THE PEOPLE BACK THAT FIXED THEIR VEHICLES ALSO PAY THE REPAIRS FOR ANY OTHERS OUT THERE OR BYE THE VEHICLES BACK AT COST AT TIME THE VEHICLE'S WHERE PURCHASED. If they get find sued and lose enough money maybe they wont knowingly and willingly F*CK people over for a dollar. Maybe the person or person's responsible for allowing this should be fired and maybe face jail time for fraudulent scams. Thanks for your time and patience. And use of your eyes for me to bitch and complain.

Water pump failed and coolant leaked into the engine. Warranty covered the water pump but the engine I’m stuck with replacing it. Why doesn’t warranty cover the engine also?! The water pump broke and caused the engine to fail. There was nothing to stop it.
