Beware of some models of this car having alignment issues. Remember, many Ford cars have the same problem, and Mazda is in bed with Ford on a lot of things. This car has a Ford engine in it, so I'm worried about everything now at this point.Turns out that Mazda dealerships love to put "soft" cheap tires on their "new" or used cars to give the false appearance of a "softer" ride. This particular model of is known for it's tight peppy suspension, which I don't mind, but the stock tires are crap. Add that on top of bad alignment, and you have yourself a recipe for disaster. The tires were almost completely gone after less than 9K miles and only 13 months of mostly-freeway driving. Beware!!!! If they mark your tire tread in the "yellow" area on the inspection after the first oil change, this should be a big red flag for you that something just isn't right with the alignment, especially if it is worse on the rear tires than the drive tires. I have e-mailed the service department at my local dealer several times and gotten no response, so I will confront them at my next oil change and see what the damage is going to be or if they will even consider covering this under my warranty. I will post an update later...
