118k Miles of mostly highway driving (road trips and the like) and never an issue. Then one day the car starts to scratch and rattle when decelerating. Dealership says transmission is shot and needs to be replaced wholesale.
I've never been in an accident, never missed an oil change, always took it in to Mazda for maintenance and repair. I did everything I was asked and supposed to do for a car according to Mazda and now I'm stuck with a 5.6k estimate to replace the transmission for a failed part that Mazda has likely known about. Notice the TSBs for Mazda6 2014 have a bunch of 'SUMMARY TO BE PROVIDED ON A FUTURE DATE.' notes. Meanwhile I can get 2% below msrp on a new Mazda that will likely also break...
