Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Not a complaint-merely a questionable vehicle safety/design inquiry: I bought a 2003 Mazda MPV in December. Recently, while under the vehicle doing an oil change, I noticed a troubling design in the gas tank location. It is right up against the door sill/rocker panel area on the driver's side. This location looks very vulnerable to rupture and fire in case of a side impact collision. Has this design been tested as safe? it reminds me of the old pinto design with the tank right ahead of the rear bumper.
