The gas pedal started to stick in cold weather after a cold start, creating great inconvenience and dangerous conditions for driving. The pedal function would go back to normal after driving for a while (once the car had been warmed up enough). I stopped by an independent mechanic for a regular maintenance and he fixed the issue for $50. This happened more than 12 months ago, so looking at the SOW today I can hardly understand his handwriting : "Gas Pedal Sticks - Int Adjust TDS Sensor, Includes Scan ???? ".

I hope this helps.

Everytime the weather changes the gas pedal sticks. I put all of my weight on it and sometimes if breaks free. I pulled out last week and was stuck in on coming traffic until I pushed and it got free. It was not my most pleasurable moment. I thought I was going to die. I am not the only Tribute with this problem. A neighbor has a Tribute and her's does the same thing. I need some help with finding someone to fix this problem before I get myself killed.
