On March 18, 2016, my husband was driving our 2005 Nissan Armada at approx 60mph on the highway. All of a sudden without warning vehicle lost power, luckily my husband was able to steer and coast vehicle to the side.this could have been tragedy.gas tank needle indicated that vehicle had a quarter tank of gas in it. No low gas light indicator was on or ever came on!! our teenage son had been driving it for over a week. What if he was driving this when this occurred, he could have been killed or killed someone else!!!! vehicle was at 87,632 miles when this occurred. I came to this website and observed where other drivers had the same incident happen.also observed where Nissan is aware of this flaw in the Armada. I advised my husband about this after he had already called a tow truck. Once he put gas in it, it started right back up. This could have been really bad, but it was only the grace of god that saved my husband surely not Nissan!! usually keep a 1/2 of tank of gas or more, but teenage son had been driving it for the last week. What if my teenager was driving it when it shut down on the highway?? this probably would not have been the same outcome.no low gas light indicator came on to warn my husband that gas was low. My husband, son or someone else could have been killed!! at the time of incident mileage was at 87,632

Brake booster malfunctions during normal driving causing unsafe breaking. Brakes almost lock up when pedal is depressed. You have to pull off the road, turn truck off and back on to work, and sometimes you have to do 2 or 3 times. Dealer wants $1K to fix booster and from what I have read, it does not always work fuel gauge malfunctioned, ran out of gas 2 times when gauge still shows 1/4 tank. This is a recall on newer vehicles but mine is a 2005. Airbag light is on and dealer states needs replacing
I have had numerous issues starting in 13' with the ECM being replaced after 05' Armada stalled on highway traveling 70 miles/hour in heavy traffic. Recently in early 15' I ran out of gas when fuel gauge displayed a quarter tank of gas at a red light. Also in early 15' my A/C will only work when on high. Both of these issues are known & are listed as recalls that I will be making a service appointment with my local Nissan dealer to research, correct & fix. There are numerous reports of similar & exact known issues online. Most recently in November 15' I was picking my children up from school in the rain. I was traveling home when I had to apply my breaks, but they did not perform as they should. The breaks made a spring sound, the brake peddle had little to no resistance when I applied my foot to stop & the break light came on. I had to veer off the road & ran into a fence post very lightly with minimal damage to my front chrome bumper. I turned car off & immediately checked on my two children in the back seat. We were all ok, thank god. I started Armada to find that the break light was no longer on. I hesitated to drive due to what had just happened. I was only 3 miles from home so I slowly attempted to continue home. The Armada drove perfect & the breaks functioned as they should with no issues. I googled incident to find numerous complaints & reports with similar to identical complaints/know issue reported & filed. I was blessed that my family was ok & I was able to avoid a serious potentially life threatening accident with loss of breaks one time for no reason. This was the 1st time this has happened and has not happened since. I feel this should be an immediate recall due to the severity of outcome it could cause with temporary break failure. No need for lifes to be lost or lawsuits to make it right and correct/fix issue at no cost.
The instrument panel fuel gauge inaccurately displays that the vehicle still has some fuel, about one quarter tank, when the fuel tank is empty. The vehicle stop working on several occasions while I was driving on the road with my family in the truck. I did not now that it was because of the gas. Fortunately no-one was hurt but it could have produced a series car crash also, passenger airbag light comes on so dealer had to change the old one

SUV ran out of gas at highway speed in center lane during heavy traffic on wife and kids, gauge read 1/4 of tank. Stepped on brake didn't work had a load noise, vdc light, brake light on dash. Understand now that ABS system failed and fuel sending unit failed. Nissan has told me that they have a recall on the fuel sending unit on the same year make and model but not mine? they have tried really hard to kill my family with this faulty expensive equipment.
As I was on my way home driving down the highway my truck cut off, this was the third time this has happened in over a year, each time I noticed my fuel gauge was reading 1/4 of a tank, so I check for recalls on the 2005 Nissan Armada and found that there was a recall for the fuel gauge system but when I called the Nissan Corp. They told me that the recall was VIN specific and there was no recall on my vehicle. I don't understand how that could be, if there is a recall on the 2005 Armada for the fuel gauge system and my vehicles fuel system is having the same problem why isn't the recall on all Nissan Armadas of the same year.
I was on the highway driving 65 mph during rush hour traffic with. As I approached a curve, the vehicle suddenly lost power and became difficult to steer. I happened to be in the far left lane, and was able to steer the vehicle to a narrow shoulder of the road. By the time I got stopped, I was sandwiched between the concrete highway divider and the fast lane of traffic. Highway assistance, aaa and my father came to my assistance. My father thought the vehicle was out of fuel, which I disputed because the low fuel indicator did not illuminate, and the gauge was at 1/4 tank. It turned out I was out of gas. I stopped relying on the gauge, and started filling up as soon as the gauge hit 1/4. later, I ran out of gas when the gauge read 1/2 tank! ok. Time to get this repaired. There was a recall on my year Armada, for this exact issue. Great! once I took my vehicle to the Nissan dealership for repairs, they said the recall for the fuel sender was VIN specific. My mother received information from Nissan customer care that the part should be covered. I asked the dealership to provide an official diagnosis for correspondence with Nissan customer care, and to not perform any repairs, as I expected this to be covered. In a subsequent call to customer care with the "bad fuel sender" diagnosis, I was told I did not meet the "history of goodwill parameters", so my repair was not covered. I decided not to have the repair done. The Nissan dealership then told me there was $250 of labor to dismantle the car just to diagnose, and it would be $250 more to put the car back together to where it would be drivable! since the fuel sender repair was quoted at $800, I reluctantly went ahead with the repair. This is a dangerous manufacturer defect. Someone could die.
I have a 2005 Nissan Armada the fuel gauge is not accurate and caused my Armada to run out of fuel in the middle of a highway at speeds of 65mph. The fuel gauge was showing I had 1/4 of a tank left as the car shutdown right in the middle of the busy highway no warning lights at 3am, very close call on a accident almost cost me my life and the cop who was helping me. We could not push my SUV off to the side. So I took the SUV to campbellnelson Nissan of edmonds, I was told there's no recall on my SUV VIN specific. I was told there's a recall 2005-2009 but on not on my VIN #. they called me and said the fuel sending unit was bad and was not reading it shows 1/4 of a tank but it was out of gas. So way is my 2005 Nissan Armada not on the recall list what's it going to take someone to get killed! I want Nissan to pay for my SUV to get fixed asap this is so wrong my SUV is still at there shop.

I was driving down an interstate with my wife and 3 children at 75 mph. All of a sudden the car stalled and died. Power steering was lost and the vehicle quickly decelerated. I was able to flash the car behind me so we were not rear-ended and then we coasted to the side of the road. In the meantime my wife looked on some message boards and people reported a fuel tank problem on the Armadas, where the fuel guage shows there is 1/4 of a tank of gas when in reality it is empty. We put some gas in the tank and it started up. We took the vehicle to Nissan dealership and they replaced the ECM relay recall, but said the fuel switch (NHTSA # 10V07400) was VIN specific and we had to pay out of pocket. I believe our vehicle should be a part of this recall and Nissan should reimburse us for these repair costs.
