2 or 3 years after buying a new Frontier, I noticed from time to time a little water on the carpet in the rear left side of cab. So I eventually took my truck to the dealer, and they tried numerous fixes that did not work, so I spoke to consumer affairs at Nissan USA. She sent a specialist to the Nissan dealer near me, and he quickly identified the problem, indicating to me that they are familiar with the problem. He and the dealer sent my truck to their authorized body shop to verify and fix the problem. To Whom it may concern:

At this present moment we have inspected a 2013 Nissan Frontier Vin Number 1N6AD0ER5DN759958. This vehicle was inspected for a rear cab leak on the left driver side. We have completed a tear down and water leak test and located the issue. It is my professional opinion the water leak is due to A manufacturers defect.

The rear cab panel is missing adhesive panel found in multiple sections causing the leak to occur. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free contact us. Thank you for your time and we look forward to assisting you in the near future.
