I can not drive my car. Nissan says this is not their problem, my car was not on the recall list. What can I do to get my money back and get my car running.

Due to the negligence on the part of Nissan, never contacting us of the recall, my daughter is lucky she wasn't on a major highway when the car just stopped. She would have been killed. Having the car towed to our mechanic, he contacted Nissan with the code and was told it was the fuel injector sensor. They never told him it was a recall part. A friend advised me to check the internet and to my surprise I found that the problem was a part that was recalled. I called Nissan and was routed to the India. I, and everyone should know this, insisted that I speak to someone in America. With much aggravation, I was finally routed to America. It is, by the way, your legal right to speak to someone in America.

Once in touch with Nissan in America, I was told that I had to bring the car to Nissan to be checked. I was told to submit all the bills to them and they would review them and upon completion of the vehicle, they would get back to me. I did so and then found that there was yet another recall of which I still haven't been informed. I brought it back and the recall was a bolt and something to do with the timing chain. The bolt was nowhere to be found in America and had to be sent from Japan. Two weeks later, we get our car.

Today, June 4th, I was contacted and told that they would only pay for the part. I went crazy. Had they been responsible and contacted me about the recall, the car would have been brought in and all would have been fine. Given the fact that they were negligent, I don't feel that I should have to pay. There is no way that I am accepting this and not taking this further.

I will be contacting Nissan, Consumer Affairs and would love to have more people go after Nissan. Reading so many people's complaints, Nissan cannot be allowed to get away with this. I welcome more people to ban together to go after them.
