Noticed a rumbling noise in the engine area when the car was started, it would go away after driving for a little while. I thought maybe something with the manifold gasket since it went away when it warmed up. When you engaged the transmission it would calm down too. Come to find out it was broken motor mounts. I can't believe with only 69000 miles and no rough treatment of this vehicle that the motor mounts would break. One of the mounts is an electric motor mount, who ever heard of such a thing. They said if this would have come unplugged it would have caused major problems possibly a wreck.

Murano SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,000 miles

It took me three times to take my Nissan Murano to Alhambra Nissan of California to get it fixed correctly. Once my son drove the car to Nissan and twice in one week I was towed to Nissan Sept 11 and Sept 15. Today I was told by the Service Attendent that it was my luck to have a broken engine mount that took them three times to find the problem and that it will cost me over $450 to repair. I believe I should not pay for this; it is Nissan who should replace a faulty engine mount even if the car has over 60,000 miles. The last Nissan I had, had close to 200,000 miles and no broken engine mount.
