YEP!......SAME "F"in' problem here on my 2006 SL. Driver side's been broken for about 2 months. I've been rolling down the window with the remote to reach in and open the door, or opening the rear door and doing the long reach-in. Gonna try to repair it myself finally......I'll post another comment to let you guys know how that went.

Also, the small piece of chrome-colored plastic around the key hole on the driver door broke off about 3 years ago. The A-holes @ the dealership wanted over $80 just for the piece of plastic!!!! $3.99 would have been a fair price! So I Gorilla Glued it back on myself and it hasn't come off since. C'MON NISSAN!!!....OWN UP TO THIS CRAP AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update from Jul 21, 2010: So I fixed the broken door handle myself about 2 weeks ago and it's holding up. While Nissan wants over $350 to $400 to fix the handle, I fixed it for about 5 bucks on my own. Not easy, but I simply drilled 3 small holes in each of the broken pieces, inserted "knurled" (rough-shafted) pins into the holes....with GORILLA GLUE.....and viola, handle fixed. The hard part was putting it back into position! Have to take the door panel apart and work around the stupid window regulator while holing up the window with boards. Why the regulator is connected to the door panel, I don't know....another bone-headed design by Nissan probably with the intent that working on it is near impossible for the general public

Now, if there were only a remedy for the driver-side sun visor that doesn't stay up in position. Another $380 JUST FOR THE PART!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS NISSAN!!!!!!!!!!
