Murano SL 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Engine stalls and loses power for no apparent reason. The dash Battery, ABS, and Brake lights all come on and then go out when the engine restarts by itself. This happens at any given time and is a dangerous situation that could result in an accident.

I was on my way to work. Arrived at the parking garage and when to put the car in reverse to park and the car shut down. No warning nothing, it went completely down, nothing worked. I had to have the car pushed out of the way and wait for the tow truck. I told the car to repair shop and had it looked at. They were unable to locate the problem. it wasn't the battery or the alternator. I saw another lady and she said she had the same problem with her Nissan. She said it was her cut-off switch or something like that, I'm not sure. But, she said it happened to her 5 times. I was only able to get the car in gear because she knew what to do. She said in the center of the car there's a little hole and you stick a key in the hole and you can put the car in gear. Other than that I was unable to move the gears. What a MESS!!!!!
