This is now my 3rd transmission going into my 2010 Rogue!!! I replaced original one at 65,000 in 2013 and now again with 112,000 on my third transmission. Neither transmission has lasted 2 years!!!! What can I do because the first was under warranty and this one is not because June this year is 2 years.

Rogue LX 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 86,000 miles

After driving Rogue for awhile (30 minutes) if it goes above 2500 RPMs, it bobbles and jerks between 2500 and 3000 RPMS. Then once leaving the interstate and coming to a complete stop, it won't accelerate. It'll drag until reaching about 10 mph and then accelerate. I'll have my foot all the way down on the gas the entire time.

Finally took into the dealer, and Nissan cannot replicate the problem (likely b/c they have to drive it for awhile in the heat for it to act up). There are no codes that come in over diagnostics. I've no lights come on in the car.

Frustrated because there is no solution, or the dealer can't seem to find one. : (

Took the car back to the dealer and told him my complaint. He said there is nothing wrong, that's the way they are. I told him that I should not have to drive down the road for ten to fifteen miles before the rpm drops. I also told him that it was in cruise control. He said the transmission has to get to a certain temperature before it runs right. I told him I am not moving to Floridia to be able to drive my car. I also told him that I

traded in a better car than what I got. I also contacted the Nissan head office and filed a complaint and got no where. It sits more than I drive it because of this. Almost three years and I only put 11000 miles on it.
