not yet three years old and the check engine light goes on because of a defective master air flow sensor ? come on. I've had both old and used cars before this and never, I mean, never had any issues, AT ALL, with any of them. not even the moving parts. most cars were American cars. moved to NISSAN because I THOUGHT it was a good vehicle. imported, Japanese, all that crap. then boom !!! had it changed finally on August 21, 2014 at 43000 miles (WTF ?), come August 28 I am back with THE SAME ISSUE. they diagnosed and diagnosed and finally said, 'well, you've got a tow assembly at the back, and its wiring seems to be interfering with the signals being received by the computer, so we disconnected the wiring system, the check engine light is off now, goodbye'. fine. Today, September 24, 2014, 26 days, more or less, from my first visit for the "check engine" light, the vehicle is at the dealer, AGAIN, for THE SAME PROBLEM. No, this time it is not the Master Air Flow Sensor that seems to be setting the "check engine" light amok, now, they say, "hey, boss, whoever it was changed your air filter didn't do a good job of it. the guy did not use the Nissan recommended air filter (talk about hogging the market), and didn't fit the air filter in correctly, it's just sitting there, and the computer is sensing the extra air flow, yada yada yada, and I need your okay to change the air filter, at $39.00". Well, what else can you do, right ? I mean, hey, guys, THREE FREAKIN' TIMES for the same freakin' "check engine lights" and this is what I get for a BRAND NEW WHEN BOUGHT 30 months old vehicle ? Gimme a break. And the appointment was for 9 a.m. and I was there at 8:55 a.m., finally attended to at 9:15 a.m., and TOLD TO LEAVE THE CAR UNTIL 3 PM SO THEY CAN REALLY WORK ON IT BECAUSE IT'S BEEN BACK THERE AT THEIR DEALERSHIP THREE FREAKING TIMES ? I mean, "put your life on hold, boss. mrs can't go shoppin', can't go buyin' dinner, hold off on any medical emergency". What the dickens? What kind of mechanics do these guys have ? Can't function without a freakin' diagnostic handheld computer ? Man, I miss the days when mechanics were mechanics. They tell you to start your engine, they listen, they test drive it, and they KNOW what's going on. I mean, couldn't they have found out about the incorrectly place air filter the second time ? NISSAN. Do better than that. and, oh, by the way, I ain't recommendin' you none to nobody.
