A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

started at 50000 with a squealing noise when backing up and forward, had the brakes checked and was told no issue, brakes are still good. Went to dealer and the same thing.

Despite them telling me my brakes were good i had brakes changed and rotors replaced front and back.

..guess what, that annoying squeal Still there!!! first and last nissan to buy! nissan should concentrate on Fixing these issues and maybe they could keep customers.

Sentra FE +

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,200 miles

I test drove this 2009 Certified Used Nissan Sentra FE+. It was in my price range and liked that it was Certified Used. It did have brake noise when I took it on a test drive, with some other distinct noises but was reassured by the dealer that it would all be taking care of with the certified Used Car guarantee. I made the mistake of thinking that because of the very low mileage it would be a dependable used car with only regular maintenance needs. The Nissan service department had my car on 3 different dates to fix brake noise and the other strange noise, and each time I had to call the service department up, to let them know the noises were still there. I was really feeling disappointed and inconvenienced, I have a 14 yr. old son who attends a Math and Science school out of town and it was interfering with our schedules and regular commutes, as well as with my job. Finally I was told my front rotors needed to be resurfaced. I spoke with a mechanic that works for the company I work for and he said," don''t ever resurface them as it makes them worst". I was advised to replace them instead of resurfacing them if they were that bad. I had them replaced and the brake pads. They fixed the other strange noise after 3 attempts and it was coming from dash. Now at 35,500 miles, I was told I need my rear drums and shoes replaced and that my tires aren't going to pass inspection come Sept. I thought I was investing in ab affordable, dependable car. How poorly designed and made that a car would need such repairs with so little mileage. A completely dissatisfied Nissan consumer! Would not recommend the 2009 Nissan Sentra FE+ to anyone.
