Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Versa. While driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle took longer to stop when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was equipped with anti-lock brakes. The contact applied excessive force to the brake pedal, but the pedal traveled to the floor. As a result, the contact rear ended the preceding vehicle. The air bags deployed. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where no failures were found. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened an investigation. The parts for the repair were not provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 9,000.....updated 07/05/16 the consumer stated she saw traffic stopped ahead of her. However, when she applied the brake, the vehicle didn't stop. Consequently, she rear ended another vehicle. Her vehicle was totaled. Updated 07/21/16.
