CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014-2017 Nissan Versa Note has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data from earlier model years for the same generation.

In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).

Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa Note owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

We have small children with car seats; and dogs that need to release back seats flat. This is a definite safety issue for both. The Seat belt is always stuck behind the seat and never has been threaded through the stationary seat belt holder that is secured to the car door frame. Therefore, we cannot secure the car seats on the left side of the back seat!! Nor can we bring the seat belt forward to secure the car seats! Nissan offers no help on line what so ever. Apparently, no one else (except one other) has had this problem. No video's or posts on how to fix this problem. Our Nissan Dealers in Phoenix are NOT customer service oriented. Hard to get an appointment and they do not give call backs. I will NEVER buy a Nissan again!!!!
